The Bourne Business Chamber is a not for profit organisation which is run by its members for the benefit and improvement of its members, the town of Bourne and its surrounding area, and the Bourne area community as a whole.
As such the Bourne Business Chamber is not a typical business networking or referral organisation.
Membership of the Bourne Business Chamber is open to any person who is interested in meeting the Objectives shown below.
Membership is not just for people who own a business, are employed by a business or are involved with business in general, either directly or indirectly.
There is no requirement for members to actually own or be part of any “business” - one which sells its products and services - or even be involved with business - our members include private individuals, charities, schools, local government representatives and others who are interested in meeting the objectives stated below ... BBC members are people who want to “give” to the local community, rather than people who are members for “what’s in it for me” reasons - so any and all “not for profit” organisations such as individuals, charities, schools, local government representatives and similar are both encouraged and welcomed as members.
Unlike many other business “clubs”, the Bourne Business Chamber does not operate a “one member per business type only” policy or any other form of membership restriction.
~~~~~~~
As may be seen from the Objectives below … when compared to the “improving Bourne and the surrounding area”, “allowing members to have a voice”, “keeping members informed”, and the “education” aspects of the BBC - the “networking”, “referrals” and “getting more business aspects” of the BBC are very much “down the list” - in fact the only networking and referral activity that actually happens when we meet occurs outside of the normal meeting.
So ... if you are interested in knowing more about the BBC then click on the “Contact Us” tab and talk to one of our General Committee members.
If you want to tell us about yourself then click on the “Join Us” tab and complete the form - we will follow up by contacting you - there is absolutely no obligation.
